Luc Stephen

A New Yorker who was born in Haiti and raised in Boston. With his work on B.E.T.’s notorious series “American Gangster,” creator, writer, producer, and director Luc Stephen shot to prominence in 2007. At that point, he realized he wanted to devote his life to movies. Self-taught through YouTube tutorials, he established Second Chance Enterprises, a production company, in 2012. His debut film series, “Prey Before You Eat,” premiered in 2016 and quickly became a hit on YouTube. After waiting 90 days, he finally released the second installment.

When he was chosen to produced LL Bean’s “Growing In Newark” short documentary in 2021, his career took off. Very soon after, Rip Michael’s TV show “Urban Eats And Treats” premiered on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, and Luc Stephen was production manager for 2 episodes. Luc then produced “Better Than My Last,” a movie that starred Hassan Johnson. The movie centers on a group of criminals operating out of Brooklyn who steals money by using stolen credit card numbers. The documentary “Witness For The Defence,” which Mike Tyson, Irv Gotti, and Michael Payton worked together to create, is based on the case of the US vs. Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff.

Finally, Louis Gossett Jr., winner of many Academy Awards, portrays a unique character named Elijah in the psychological thriller Sin. Portrait painter Elijah is blind, yet he can still perceive the realities behind his work. The protagonist of the film, Sin, is a single mother with a drug abuse problem who is in a dangerous relationship and must get out of it before it kills her. All of these projects are scheduled to drop by the end of 2022 or early 2023.

A promising future awaits this young producer. Luc adds, “I keep myself inspired by telling myself I’m only getting started and by keeping a humble mindset.” In addition to being available on several major streaming platforms, many of his previous works are also released through Dame Dash Studios, Homestead Entertainment, and Indie Rights. Luc has worked on 18 different endeavors so far. One of Luc’s favorite sayings is, “Find something you love to do, turn it into a business, and you’ll never work another day in your life.”
